What is a
Secure Satellite Virtual Private Network
(VPN)?
A Secure Satellite Virtual
Private Network is a connection between network nodes connected via a
satellite link that use a form
of protocol security for use over public network facilities such as
the INTERNET. Satellite INTERNET network connections are typically open
TCP/UDP using IP protocol that can be encrypted using standards based
methods so that users can "privatize" sensitive information of a
non-public nature. Teleprime offers advanced Secure Satellite VPN products
such as the VSR-30 and VSR-1200 series routers and gateways. Users
that are currently using excessive delay IPsec facilities now
have an economical alternative by using secure Satellite VPN routers
such as the VSR-30.
The Bandit and VSR series products for satellite use the Encore
Selective Layer Encryption (SLE) method for satellite links that are
subject to unacceptable processing delays of IPSec. In addition to IP connections over
broadband such as Ethernet or T1 / E1 and satellite, wireless GSM or CDMA network access are supported for remote terminal and access
applications. Teleprime now offers low cost secure
Satellite VPN
routers and VPN gateways such as the VSR-30 and VSR-1200 that scale from one to multiple serial
