Overview
Small business and SOHO organizations have
traditionally relied on public telephone companies to
provide their business communications services. These
services historically have been provided over copper lines to the
business or from 3rd party organizations (such as building owners,
landlords, etc.). These services are normally charged by the
number of lines used and for individual features subscribed by the
small business customer (such as call forwarding or voice mail).
With today's wide deployment of Voice over IP (VoIP) networks and
equipment, small business and SOHO organizations can now gain
access to features once only reserved for large corporate users
while potentially lowering recurring business communications
costs. Teleprime offers the advanced Quadro IP PBX VoIP
systems for small business and SOHO users supported with global
technical support and user based accessories.
VoIP & Quadro IP PBX Technology
VoIP is a technical standards based method of
communicating voice signals over INTERNET protocol (IP) based
networks. With the wide deployment of IP based data networks
scaling even into the small business and SOHO customer base by
using broadband data services such as DSL & cable modem based
networks, VoIP can be a much lower cost alternative to
traditional telephone services (especially for long distance
charges). Today's equipment offerings offer feature rich
functions such as call forwarding, 3-way calling, transfer, voice
mail and many other features at the telephone instrument vs. the
telco
switch based system level. This means more versatility in
the type of communications services the small business or SOHO
organization can use to expand their own product and service
offerings for their respective customers. VoIP based IP PBX
networks offered by Teleprime provide small business & SOHO
organizations the ability to offer corporate type communications
services to their customers such as auto-attendant interactive
voice response service, remote call access for sales and technical
support, conferencing, responsive voice mail or voice to email/fax
based services. With the Teleprime Quadro IP PBX
solutions, these features are selectable vs. the traditional fee
based service or other system individual license fee offerings potentially
saving the user monthly recurring telephone charges. The
small business & SOHO organization can use either
INTERNET Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) local and long distance
carriers or traditional telephone carriers or both as this is
easily supported on the Quadro IP PBX systems and the user is no
longer locked to one offering from the telephone company.
A major concern for small business & SOHO
organizations is supporting growth of the telephone network to
match their own growth requirements so equipment doesn't have to
be completely replaced or staff retrained on the new system.
Teleprime's offerings of Quadro IP PBX solutions allow for
affordable and scalable growth to match the business user needs.

Professional Services Organizations
Teleprime's offerings of Quadro IP PBX are
available in four (4) different platforms that ease the transition
from a traditional telephone line based system to a VoIP based
system. Professional Service Organizations (PSO) such as
medical, legal or accounting practices may have a central or
distributed business structure but typically need to offer
telephone access to partners and key individuals whether on the
premise, traveling, at a SOHO office or remote satellite offices.
Implementing this capability using traditional telephone company
based services can be expensive with recurring monthly charges for
telephone service, long distance charges and special charges for
services (such as call forwarding). Teleprime's Quadro IP
PBX solutions offer these functions "built in" so these charges by
the telephone company are no longer necessary.
Many PSOs use cell phone services for key staff
members for out of office requirements that can complicate calling
from customers as customers may not have access to all of the
different telephone numbers. By using the Quadro IP PBX,
call forwarding to cell or other telephone numbers is transparent
to the inbound caller so they no longer need to have multiple
numbers to call. Depending on configuration, calling dial
plans can be set up to reduce calls to cell phones or move
messages to data sources (such as SMS or email) vs. billed cell
phone minutes.
If PSOs are faced with long distance charges
between satellite and SOHO offices, these can be eliminated by
direct Quadro to extension calling using VoIP. Not only are
these costs removed, the complexity of extra numbers is removed
and extra bills from the telephone company are eliminated.
A typical Quadro IP PBX network consists of IP
telephones and one of the scalable Quadro IP PBX systems.
Teleprime works with the small business & SOHO organization to
size the correct system and define any optional items. This equipment
is connected together in the small business or SOHO organization's
existing data network or a separate network is deployed (depending
on how much data bandwidth is currently used via the INTERNET).
Many PSOs already have data network ports available so deploying
the Teleprime Quadro IP PBX solution may be a "bolt on" solution
using ports on existing routers or simply adding router equipment
to support the new network.
An IP PBX works by terminating "trunks" from the
telephone service provider (either traditional telephone company
or new ITSP based providers) and with a call router, switching the
calls on the trunks to various extensions. An extension may
be programmed with a unique internal telephone number ID typically
2 or 3 digits (but longer ones may be used if desired). This
allows multiple destinations to be called from a common inbound
telephone number (such as an 800 number). Rather than have
separate telephone lines to each telephone, by using IP
telephones, such connections can be made in the same manner as
network cables for computers (including the use of wireless
routers in hard to reach locations).
The IP PBX provides the call management and
feature provisions necessary for the small business or SOHO
organization. It is possible to set up receptionist
positions with light indications for extensions, voice mail and
auto-attendant services, forwarding, 3 way calling, music on hold
and many other calling features. Specialized dialing, speed
dialing and remote dialing are all possible. Remote system
management and voice mail to email or fax to email are feature
selectable also.
For users with larger line requirements from the
telcos (such as ISDN PRI lines), Quadro E1/T1 gateways can
be installed to migrate you to the IP network. A typical
example would be a central location with a PRI from the telephone
company and 23 phone numbers extended to multiple remote locations
via the Quadro Gateway and Quadro IP PBXs.
